"Ein Paradies auf dem Lande"

(ENG) Sihlmatt is a Tal (valley) in the beautiful village of Hirzel, five minutes from local shops and conveniently situated close to both Zurich and Zug. There is a school in Hirzel and the International schools and childcare facilities are nearby. Hirzel was the birthplace of the author of the Heidi books.

Set in the idyllic beautiful Swiss countryside, the house enjoys the BEST views in canton Zurich. It is perched high on a hill and is surrounded by fields and woodland. A trout river flows within 250m and there is a sandy beach and riverside barbecue area. It is a paradise for families and children.

This traditional farmhouse was built around 1800. It retains many of its original features including original ceramic oven and bench as well as wooden beams. The house has been tastefully extended to include a conservatory (50 sq m) with unspoilt views across the valley and leading on to a large terrace. The living space totals about 280 sq metres split between three floors. There is a large cellar and lots of storage space as well as a second toilet downstairs.

Ground Floor : The conservatory of 7m x 8m is a perfect place to sit, eat or entertain. It is bright with a high wooden ceilings and leads on to 40 sq metre terrace with garden and small pond. The wood burning kamin provides heating and there is also an electric hob and cooking area with dishwasher. The kitchen has modern electrical fittings including (2nd) dishwasher, but also has a traditional wood burning stove and bread oven. The ceiling has wooden beams. There is also a large cosy lounge of about 40 sq metres also with wooden beams.

1st Floor : Bedroom 1 (master) has wooden beamed ceiling and provides the most wonderful unspoiled country views from each window. Bedroom 2 is smaller and ideal for use as a child room/office, also with wonderful views. The bathroom is large with two sinks, a bath and shower. Bedroom 3 is a large L shaped room ideal for use as an office or playroom, or a second lounge /bedroom suite.

2nd Floor : Bedroom 4 is at the top of the house, is large and has wood panelling throughout, with wonderful views across the valley and of the river.

There is parking for 3 cars and the nearest house is 300m away as is the dairy farm with its own Bäsebeiz (restaurant/pub), serving local specialities and selling fresh eggs.




(D) Ein Paradies auf dem Lande

Dieses altes, renovierte Riegelhaus, mit allen modernen Bequemlichkeiten, steht auf einem kleinen Hügel im Sihlmatt-Tal (Hirzel), nur 20 min von Zug und 30 min von Zürich entfernt. Das Haus ist umgeben von den schönsten ländlichen Aussichten: grünen Hügel, grossen Weiden und Wäldern. Die Sihl fliesst ca 250 m entfernt; in der Nähe gibt es viele Feuerstellen und Schwimmplätze und atemberaubende Wander- und Bikingwege. Im Nachbarhof gibt es eine ?Bäsebeiz?-Wirtschaft. Die Nachbarn sind alle freundlich und hilfsberei; wenn man die echte Schweiz kennenlernen will, findet man keine bessere Adresse!

Eine grosse Terrasse mit einem Biotop und Garten gehören ebenfalls zu diesem tollen Objekt. Die schönen Aussichten kann man auch im grossen Wintergarten vor dem Kamin geniessen. In der Küche gibt es noch den alten Backofen, der auch den traditionellen Kachelofen im Wohnzimmer wärmt. Der Haus ist voller Charme.
