Situated in the heart of a traditional Alpine village and only five minutes' walk from the train station, Chalet Jean Marie is an 18th century farmhouse, extensively renovated in 1987 to make six apartments. This pretty two-room apartment is on the ground floor and from the small, south-facing patio has uninterrupted views across the valley to the Grand and Petit Muverans.

The apartment was refurbished in 3004 to a very high standard, with oak floors throughout and a tiled bathroom. The spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen is light and airy; the double bedroom is cool and calm, and also has a door to the exterior. The kitchen is well equipped, and the apartment has plenty of cupboard and storage space.

Gryon is a very quiet village, but unlike many others it still supports several shops, including a cheese store, minimarket, butcher, post office and two restaurants. The village is only minutes away by train or car from the resort of Villars, with its more extensive range of restaurants and shops.

The apartment is perfectly situated for all summer and winter activities. At an altitude of 1,300m, the area offers every sort of sport, relaxation and culture in an idyllic setting. The two telecabines and mountain train give easy access to the Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets and Glacier 3000 ski area, and the whole region is a paradise for hikers and mountain cyclists.
